Upon the resounding success of the Interior Design Institute project which continues to thrive in the e-business environment, Online Education CEO Dick Van Damme approached Web Daemon about another project in a similar mould to that of IDI. This soon lead to the creation of the Photography Institute, an online course for young budding photographers and experienced professionals alike. Web Daemon was expected to deliver a start-of-the-art application inclusive of an e-commerce gateway, a CMS and student, tutor and site administration. Several webCampaign tools (www.webcampaign.com.au) have also been incorporated to increase the efficiency of managing the Photography Institute application which has inturn contributed to increasing profitable growth.
"WebDaemon has once again delivered! Everything that was necessary to create and support the application was undertaken with a minimum of fuss. Rod and the team should take a great deal of credit for project’s current and future success.”
Online Education, as most clients of Web Daemon are, was referred to us by an old colleague, York Hinds. York was too busy to take on more projects but introduced us to Dick Van Damme from Online Education. Dick wanted to create a new web e-learning application that could enrol, administer and graduate students through an Interior Design course. While the team at Web Daemon have written several e-learning systems, Online Education required a lot of new functions so it was decided that developing a custom solution was the best and most practical option. The package contains an e-commerce gateway, a content management system, student administration, tutor administration, site administration and various marketing tools to grow Online Education's business. Add in four different country sites, dynamic pdf encryption, three different currencies with on-the-fly currency conversion for credit card processing and it soon became a very large project.
"WebDaemon has done a remarkable job transforming a business idea into a thriving online business. We would not hesitate in recommending Rod Higgins and his team to any organisation looking to move into web development or looking to enhance their current web presence."
